The Royal Society’s Summer Science Exhibition, held from 1 to 6 July 2025, is an annual event celebrating and showcasing cutting-edge science and innovation from across the UK.
As part of this year’s Quantum Zone, the University of Oxford presented a range of live demonstrations and experiments. Lauritz volunteered to demonstrate a virtual reality (VR) simulation of ultracold quantum gases and the evaporative cooling process.
The exhibition was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the public, share our enthusiasm for science, and draw inspiration from the many fascinating discussions with visitors.
